Bags Of Bounce - Terms & Conditions of Hire
By making a booking with Bags Of Bounce, the customer ("the Hirer") agrees to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read these carefully before confirming your booking.
1. Bookings
All bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed once Bags Of Bounce has accepted the booking and any required deposit/payment has been received.
The Hirer is responsible for providing accurate information including the event address, contact details, hire times, venue information and details of the intended setup area.
Any changes to a booking should be requested as soon as possible and are subject to availability.
2. Payment
Any deposit required to secure a booking must be paid at the time requested.
The remaining balance must be paid by the agreed payment deadline. Failure to make payment may result in the booking being cancelled.
Any additional charges agreed due to changes in location, equipment, hire duration or other circumstances must also be paid as requested.
3. Cancellations
If you need to cancel your booking, please contact Bags Of Bounce as soon as possible.
Any deposits, cancellation charges or refunds will be dealt with in accordance with the cancellation policy provided at the time of booking.
Where Bags Of Bounce has to cancel a booking and is unable to provide the agreed equipment, any payment made for the affected hire will be refunded. Bags Of Bounce will not be responsible for additional or consequential costs incurred by the Hirer as a result of a cancellation, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Nothing within these Terms & Conditions affects the customer's statutory rights.
4. Weather Conditions
Outdoor inflatable hire is dependent upon suitable weather conditions.
Bags Of Bounce reserves the right to cancel, postpone, refuse to install or remove equipment where weather conditions are considered unsafe. This may include high winds, heavy rain, thunderstorms or other conditions that could make operation of the equipment unsafe.
Inflatables must not be used where wind conditions exceed the manufacturer's permitted limits or applicable safety guidance.
Safety will always take priority.
Customers must not move, reposition or attempt to re-secure an inflatable themselves.
5. Suitable Setup Area
The Hirer must ensure that there is sufficient clear and suitable space for the equipment booked.
The setup area must be free from hazards including, but not limited to:
- Sharp objects
- Overhanging branches
- Garden furniture
- Washing lines
- Animal waste
- Glass or debris
- Underground or overhead hazards
- Other obstructions that may affect safe installation or operation
The Hirer must advise Bags Of Bounce in advance of the surface on which the inflatable will be installed.
Bags Of Bounce reserves the right to refuse installation if the location or surface is considered unsuitable or unsafe.
6. Access
Suitable access must be available for delivery and collection.
The Hirer must advise us before booking of steps, narrow entrances, restricted parking, long access routes or any other access issues.
If equipment cannot safely or reasonably be delivered to the agreed setup location because access information was not disclosed, Bags Of Bounce may be unable to complete the hire.
7. Delivery & Collection
We will make reasonable efforts to deliver and collect equipment within the agreed arrangements.
Delivery and collection times may vary due to traffic, previous collections, weather or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
The Hirer must ensure that an appropriate responsible adult is available where required for delivery and collection.
Equipment must remain in the agreed location until collected by Bags Of Bounce.
8. Adult Supervision
A responsible adult aged 18 or over must supervise the inflatable at all times while it is in use.
The inflatable must never be left operating and accessible to users without appropriate supervision.
The supervising adult is responsible for ensuring that these Terms & Conditions and all safety instructions provided by Bags Of Bounce are followed throughout the hire period.
9. Safe Use of Equipment
Users must follow all safety instructions supplied with the equipment.
The following are not permitted on inflatables:
- Shoes
- Glasses where they may cause injury
- Jewellery or other sharp objects
- Food or drinks
- Chewing gum
- Face paint, silly string, party poppers or similar substances that could stain or damage equipment
- Smoking, vaping or naked flames
- Pets
Users must not climb, sit or hang on inflatable walls, netting or safety structures.
Rough play, fighting, somersaults and other dangerous behaviour are strictly prohibited.
Users should be grouped appropriately according to size and age where necessary to minimise the risk of injury.
The stated maximum number of users and any height, age or weight restrictions for the particular inflatable must be followed at all times.
10. Blower & Electrical Equipment
Blowers and electrical equipment supplied by Bags Of Bounce must not be moved, covered, tampered with or disconnected unnecessarily.
The Hirer must ensure that children and other users are kept away from blowers, electrical cables and associated equipment.
If the inflatable loses pressure or the blower stops working, all users must immediately leave the inflatable and the Hirer should contact Bags Of Bounce.
Do not continue using an inflatable that is not fully inflated.
11. Rain & Water
Unless specifically supplied as equipment designed for wet use, inflatables must not be deliberately soaked or used with water.
Water slides or other equipment specifically designed for wet use must only be operated in accordance with the instructions provided.
If conditions become unsafe due to rain or water, use must stop until the equipment can safely be used again.
12. Damage, Loss & Cleaning
The Hirer is responsible for taking reasonable care of the equipment throughout the hire period.
Bags Of Bounce should be notified immediately of any damage, fault or problem.
The Hirer may be responsible for reasonable repair, replacement or specialist cleaning costs where equipment is deliberately damaged, misused, lost or returned in an excessively dirty condition as a result of failure to follow these Terms & Conditions.
Normal wear and tear will not be charged to the Hirer.
13. Overnight Hire
Where overnight hire has been specifically agreed, the equipment must be kept in a secure location and operated only in accordance with the instructions provided.
The Hirer remains responsible for taking reasonable care of the equipment until it has been collected by Bags Of Bounce.
Equipment must not be used overnight or outside agreed operating arrangements where Bags Of Bounce has instructed that it should be switched off or secured.
14. Indoor & Venue Hire
Where equipment is being installed inside a hall or other venue, the Hirer is responsible for ensuring that the venue permits inflatable equipment and that sufficient floor space and ceiling height are available.
Please check measurements carefully before booking.
Bags Of Bounce cannot be responsible where installation cannot take place because the venue is unsuitable or permission has not been obtained.
15. Injuries & Accidents
Any accident or injury involving the hired equipment should be reported to Bags Of Bounce as soon as reasonably possible.
Where appropriate, the Hirer should stop use of the equipment until it has been confirmed safe to continue.
In an emergency, appropriate emergency services should be contacted immediately.
16. Liability
Bags Of Bounce will take reasonable care to supply and install equipment safely and in accordance with applicable requirements.
The Hirer is responsible for ensuring that equipment is appropriately supervised and used in accordance with the safety instructions supplied.
Bags Of Bounce will not be responsible for loss, damage or injury caused by misuse of equipment, failure to provide appropriate supervision or failure to follow safety instructions, to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
17. Right to Refuse or Terminate Hire
Bags Of Bounce reserves the right to refuse installation or terminate a hire where we reasonably believe that:
- The equipment cannot be installed safely
- Weather conditions are unsafe
- The equipment is being misused
- Safety instructions are being ignored
- Users, staff or members of the public are being placed at risk
- The Hirer has provided materially incorrect information about the booking
Where use is stopped for safety reasons resulting from the Hirer's actions or failure to follow instructions, a refund may not be provided.
18. Equipment Ownership
All hired equipment remains the property of Bags Of Bounce at all times.
The Hirer must not sell, sub-hire, move, alter, repair or otherwise interfere with the equipment without prior permission.
19. Photography
Bags Of Bounce will not use identifiable photographs of customers or children for advertising or social media without appropriate permission.
Where permission has been given, it may be withdrawn for future use by contacting us.
20. Service Area
Bags Of Bounce provides bouncy castle and inflatable hire across Belfast, Bangor, Comber, Newtownards and surrounding areas, with other nearby locations available on request.
Additional delivery charges may apply depending on location and will be confirmed before the booking is finalised.
21. Agreement to These Terms
By confirming a booking and/or accepting delivery of the equipment, the Hirer confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
The Hirer is responsible for ensuring that anyone supervising the equipment is made aware of the relevant safety instructions.
22. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of Northern Ireland, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply.
